James Getomer Associate Design Researcher

James believes in improving people’s lives through human centered design. He spent nearly a decade performing consumer insights research at Google, before earning his MA in Design from SFSU in 2019. While earning his degree, he led a team to the Stanford Design Challenge finals, and was awarded 1st place in the state-wide CSU Research Competition for his design work on improving student mental health. This work has helped make James a thought leader in the realm of performing research with vulnerable populations.
