Labs 2023: In Review

In this post, I’ll showcase the highlights from our blog throughout 2023. Before delving into that, let’s acknowledge that it’s been a compelling, albeit challenging, year across almost every sector. As we move into 2024, we extend our best wishes for a highly productive year to our clients, our wonderful UXalliance partners around the globe, and our extended communities.

It’s been busy! We’ve been attending events and meeting partners, hosting team get-togethers, conducting research in the lab and back out in the field for harder to reach audiences. 2023 really was all about rediscovering the benefit of being in person, and the value of human insights.

Curiosity is the driving force behind our Labs teams, and 2023 provided ample opportunities to indulge in exploration. Whether experiencing a SoundWalk through Chicago’s early morning streets at EPIC, putting Lego® Serious Play to the test, or honing our Filmmaking skills – our practice is the stronger for it.

We always operate at the boundaries of innovation, and this year was no exception. From exploring the integration of AI in User Experience Research (UXR) at the annual UX Masterclass to contemplating strategies for building organizational resilience through enhanced Customer Experience (CX), as a team we navigated questions that push the industry forward.
